Appalachian Brewing Company is located in a historic downtown building. The impressive three-story brick and heavy timber structure, was built circa 1915. The lagering room portion of the brewery dates to 1890. Throughout the brewery, antique brick walls, massive wooden beams, hardwood floorsand ceilings provide a warmth and inner glow rivaled only by the beer itself. We are proud to be the first brewery in the Pennsylvania State Capital since 1951. ABC serves fresh innovative cuisine to match our tremendous handcrafted ales and lagers!

In the small town of Faulkenstein, Germany, we became aware of the tradition of the working men and women to drink hefeweizen during their morning work break. Every day, these burly men and women break at 10am and down a pint of the region's most popular style. As a tribute to these hearty Germans (coupled with our own desire to drink beer in the morning) we offer you Breakfast with Hefe! |
 |
| June 9th and 10th marks the return of this glorious breakfast event. From 9am until 2pm we will offer our a la carte breakfast consisting of Crab Benedict, French Toast, Bananas Foster, Smoked Salmon, assorted omelets,
prime rib, and assorted desserts and pastries. Have a hefe and start your day out right! |
|
Don't forget to drop off your home brews for Appalachian Brewing Company's 2nd Annual
"Home Brew Guru" competition.
Submissions are due by May 5th and should be taken to
ABC Camp Hill. Each person may enter up to 4 beers - 2 bottles of each beer are required. The winner will brew the winning batch in Camp Hill.
Spring will be here before you know
it - so start brewing those recipes now! |
Saturday May 31, 2008 marks our 11th year rocking the bricks and stones of 50 N. Cameron Street in Harrisburg. To mark the occasion, we've got a little something for everyone that'll delight your ears and keep your feet moving all day long.
The festivities begin that afternoon with Outhouse Races, Keg Olympics and a Pig Roast outside on Walnut Street. Tom Hamilton's American Babies with Slimfit will rock the street with their alt-country, foot stompin, rabble rousin' good times. The music on our outdoor stage begins around 4pm.
That's not all! Later in the night, after the kids have gone to bed (that's sometime around 8:30), meet us in The Abbey Bar for an unforgettable and truly unique performance by Mike Doughty and his bass phenom, Andrew "Scrap" Livingston. Doors open at 7pm sharp with Doughty taking the stage around 9:30...
Oh, you want more? Your wish is our command. Following Doughty's scaled-down set with Livingston, he'll continue to rock the house with a very special DJ set from 11:30 until the lights come up. |
